The art of waiting

Do you get frustrated when you have to wait? Do you feel the pressure build the longer the wait? Do you complain loudly whenever you are delayed? Have you ever thought about the physical effects this irritation is producing? Would you like a way to make waiting easier and productive?

The greatest benefits of keeping yourself occupied while waiting are that you remain calm which keeps your blood pressure down, your mood pleasant and stimulates your mind.
The above is something I got when I key-in "the art of waiting" to Google Search. I'm in the mist of waiting. I'm rather disturbed and annoyed by the waiting. That's why I Google for the phase "the art of waiting".

Waiting is a large part of our way of life so we may as well make it constructive and thus productive. But how???

Nine Emperor Gods Festival

The Nine Emperor Gods Festival (九皇爺) is a nine-day celebration observed primarily in Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

In Ipoh, Tow Boh Keong is one of the temple celebrating this festival and it is located opposite of our shop. When it comes to this time of the year, the street in front of our shop will be jammed with cars and peoples.

Hubby always tell me that when he was young and still staying upstairs, he used to look at the crowd every night and he loves the noise. Now the whole family had moved into a terrace house, we still visit the temple almost every night enjoying the crowd!

Exercising

As a result of eat and sit, I'm getting heavier day by day. So hubby bought me a bicycle to exercise, both for me and for him. We are eager to bring home the new bike, thus we request the sale person to fix all the important parts and left only those common-sense part for us (for the sick of the storage of our "big" car).

The machine is designed to have a calculator of calories burned, exercised time, km and heart beat rating. Unfortunately, the sensor which is placed near to the pedal malfunction. The technician had been coming to replace us a new bike which is also having the same problem.

Finally the problem solved yesterday, I ride on the bike happily and not long after I cycle, comes "krat, krat, krat" and "bang"! The pedal's cover dropped off! *sigh*

My new home exercising bike with the pedal dropped off!

Jogoya Japanese Buffet

Hubby and I went KL with my father in law and his "yi ku" (my father in law's younger sister) on Deepavali, while my mother in law went Taiping with my sisters in law. So separate way we went!

We arrived at Jogoya by 11am, it is located at 3rd floor of Starhill, opposite Pavillion. The lunch buffet start 11am until 2pm, we fully utilized the time! LOL

We were bewilder when we saw the food! There were oysters, crabs, prawns, abalone, scallop, tim sum, sushi, chinese herbal soup, coconut, cakes, cookies, Häagen-Dazs ice cream & etc. I finished 5 scoops of ice cream, 2 bowl of chinese herbal soup, 2 coconut, 2 pcs of cakes, fried rice, steam fish, uncountable prawns, scallop and crabs!

Time to wait

Days and weeks after publishing all the clothes for kids and ladies, I only manage to get one sale transaction from a relative! No outsider, no online buyer......

I'm still sitting here, waiting and checking email every now and then.

What to do?

I've submitted my online boutique to various search engines and promoting it in Facebook, and yet to have any business!

Here I am, waiting, waiting, waiting......

What is web directory?

A web directory or link directory is a directory on the World Wide Web. It specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links.

A web directory is not a search engine and does not display lists of web pages based on keywords; instead, it lists web sites by category and subcategory. The categorization is usually based on the whole web site rather than one page or a set of keywords, and sites are often limited to inclusion in only a few categories. Web directories often allow site owners to directly submit their site for inclusion, and have editors review submissions for fitness.

Most of the directories are very general in scope and list websites across a wide range of categories, regions and languages. But there are also some niche directories which focus on restricted regions, single languages, or specialist sectors. One type of niche directory with a large number of sites in existence, is the shopping directory for example. Shopping directories specialize in the listing of retail e-commerce sites.

Examples of well known, general, web directories are Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project (ODP). ODP is significant due to its extensive categorization and large number of listings and its free availability for use by other directories and search engines.
