New way of car jacking

You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse.

When you look into the rear view mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.

So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.

When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.

So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys.

Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away. Remove the paper later.

Friends from Ireland

Yesterday, we had our dinner with my father-in-law's friends. We went to a restaurant located in Jalan kampar, near the round-about, below Fairmont hotel which is next to Honda car seller.

Mr.Ho and his family who recently came back for vacation from Ireland. They have been migrated to Ireland for 9 years. They told us about their life in Ireland. It is nice to hear from them, but I'm not planning to migrate to Ireland due to its freezing weather.

Uncle Ho gave my hubby a "red packet"as gift for our wedding which they couldn't able to attend earlier. Then we showed them our wedding photos.

My father & mother-in-law are delighted to meet uncle Ho again since they seldom come back.

Nowadays, friends are getting lesser and lesser, most of my friends went outstation working. We hardly gather. Hopefully they will come back to stay in Ipoh when they married, So i can date them out frequently.

Genting Highland 2-hour-stop

Hubby and I decided to stop by Genting Highland on our way back to Ipoh. When we pass by the indoor theme park, we noticed that there is a crowd of people surrounding one of the gaming machines. We go over and have a look. A young man is throwing basket ball with 95% accuracy. I bet he had been “investing” in this game for a long time, that is the only way to be so proficient in throwing basket ball!

Anybody recognize this car? It is called Hummer.
This car is designed to get you safely through most off-road obstacles with its fully- welded steel frame. It is particularly capable in water.

Awarding ceremony

Woke up early in the morning of Sunday, we took our breakfast at Taj, a well-known mamak shop in Kuantan. It operates 24 hours. I love their roti canai and nasi lemak. It is much tastier than those I had in other places. It is a must for me to pay a visit to this shop every time I come to Kuantan.

Nasi Lemak

Roti Canai

Arriving at SMK Tanah Puteh, we walked into the open-air hall. Though there are no fans or air-cons, we can still feel the morning breeze blowing.

The ceremony started with the speech of headmaster, following by a tradition cultural dance by the students. I seldom watch this kind of dance, but it is really full of Malay’s culture. Our concentrations were taken away by one of the dancers, a cute plump boy. We are surprised that he danced well with his heavy body.

Finally, the awarding ceremony started and all the related students begin to queue up below the stage. Wai Nam got RM200 as his reward for getting 8A's.

Replacement of notebook

I went to the computer shop in Greentown to exchange my notebook yesterday. They show me the newly exchange notebook and explain it to me.

I query them why they changed my notebook RAM silently. I request them to give me an explanation. The only reason they gave is "It's technical departments mistake!".

I knew it would not do me any good quarreling with them, so I took my notebook home. I will make a complain to HP.

Nowadays, we need to be much more careful in purchasing, not to give any chances for others to cheat.

Notebook disappointment

Shouldn’t it be a happy thing to bring home a brand new notebook cheaper than market price with RM240 Jusco voucher? No, not a bit! I got cheated! They are cheating! They changed the original RAM from 1 pc 1024MB to Samsung 2 pcs 512MB.

It seems that the reseller is well-known in Ipoh. How disappointed I am to found out being cheated?

I rang up the sales person to ask about it. They finally admitted that they had changed the RAM, and promise to replace the original Ram.

I spoke to hubby how they cheated me on the notebook soon after he came home. Hubby insists to replace the notebook with a brand new notebook since may be the act of changing the RAM will affect the other parts of the notebook, it may also affect the warranty for the notebook.

We go directly to Jusco reseller counter to request for the replacement and they agreed. According to the sales person, Samsung 512MB RAM is a cheaper range of RAM compared to the HP original RAM. Well, since they promised to replace a brand new notebook, then I’m satisfied and leaved the counter.

I’m collecting the notebook after 5pm at the reseller at Greentown today. This time, I would better check thoroughly before I leave the shop.

So is it true that “Good things will not be cheap, cheap things will not be good”?

Clumsy driver

*yawn*

5pm, time to go home after work. I excitingly driving towards Greentown to take my new notebook.

Once traffic light turns green, I change my gear into “D” and go. A sliver-color Myvi coming out from the side lane suddenly. Gosh, give me a shock! I press my horn immediately, and “eeaaaatttttt”, the car stopped. Oh…… almost, my hubby’s dearest car, nearly get bumped! My heart is pumping fast. Fortunately nothing bad happened. I did not stop to check since I do not think anything happened to my car.

Before passing the nest traffic light, I take a look at the reverse mirror to check on that clumsy Myvi. I wonder why, the Myvi just stopped at the side of the road? Something wrong? Did he really bump into my car? No, I did not feel any thing. Am I turning the radio too loud? Anyway, I need to go Greentown. I shall check my car there.

God blessed, no trace of scratches found.

I beg all driver, if you are sleepy or tired, please, take a nap before you leaving yourself to the road. Not just to ensure your safety, but also ours!

HP Compact V3839TU notebook

I had changed my mind from buying B1286TU after trying to use it for 1 hour. I'm getting headache watching at a 12" LCD screen! So what I can do is to buy a larger size notebook, its 14" LCD screen. It is RM200 cheaper, RM2,399 with RM230 Jusco voucher.

May be the weight is heavier and looks cheaper also, but since I seldom bring it out, then I think it is fine for me to have a larger size notebook.

My hubby told his friend that we are going to get ourselves a notebook. His friend told him that his uncle bought his son a new notebook from US and just sent back last month, but due to his son still young (Form 1), he do not need it. They wanted to sell the notebook at RM2,400.

Hubby is so excited, he bring the notebook all the way to my office to show me. Yes, it really looks nice and expensive compared to the one I wanted to buy. But I do not like 2nd hand item, and since it is imported, I'm worrying about the warranty.

So I decided to stick to my previous decision, to buy HP Compact V3839TU. Hopefully I won't regret for it!

HP Compact Presario B1286TU Notebook

Lately, I'm searching for notebook. This is the model I'm thinking of buying. My friends recommended it for its service centre located at Bercham. If anything happened, we can just bring it back for service.

Jaya Jusco will be having J Card sales this Thursday, RM2,599 free RM250 Jusco voucher. I wanted to wait till pc fair, but I just cannot wait!

Moven Peak merry-go-round steamboat

Hubby and I went into the newly opened Moven Peak steamboat shop located at the ground floor of Ipoh Parade this afternoon for lunch.

Not much variety of food available though they look as if a lot!

These are the prices of the plates.

There are two choices of soup available there : Plain / tom yam. Additional RM4.00 for herbal soup's ingredient. All green-leaves-vegetable are @ RM1.00 per plate.

We paid RM35.00 with not much of food consumed. Looks cheap, but not really. We would rather go for the buffet steamboat. This visit would be the first and also the last.

Counter Strike

Hubby and I went to 1 Utama with my colleagues last weekend and he found himself his favorite game - the Counter strike. He has been looking around for this game for a long time. He went into F.O.S. to drag me out to the game shop to check whether our pc is capable for that game. Finally, we bought it (RM15), quite expensive!

Oh, since then, my pc is fully utilized by my hubby! And I'm going to bed by 10pm since then.

Before this, he used to watch Astro while I online. Nowadays, the Astro stands aside! I'm complaining and grumbling about this all this while. I wanted to cancel Astro , we are paying RM89.90 per month! Adding RM100.00 per month to get us a notebook, so that I won't be that boring at night time.

Let's see, pc fair will be on next month.
