What Are You Thankful For?

This tag is from Hot Topic. Thank you very much!

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary
Because it means you've made a difference.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and,
they can become your blessings.

Below are the seven (7) reasons to be thankful for this year:

1. That I am married at the age of 24.
2. That I am in good health throughout the year.
3. That I found myself a wonderful and loving hubby.
4. That I found many nice blogger friends.
5. That I found my new passion in writing through blogging.
6. That my family members are in good conditions.
7. That my friends are in good conditions.

I am now passing this tag to Richard, Kevin and Kang Yong.

Miscarriage?

I'm sorry to tell all of you that I have a miscarriage.

I do feel sad and disappointment. I've gone moody for few days, asking myself why? Why I'm that weak to carry a baby? Why other people get pregnant so easily? Why not me?

After a week of rest with my auntie and cousin backed from Kuantan, I'm now okay. Though still wondering why, I'll carry on working hard to get another baby. *cheers*

Wearing seat belts

I heard on radio this morning that starting 01.01.2009, all Malaysian are to wear their seat belt even for the back seats.

If you were caught without seat belt on, an immediate "saman" (fine) of RM300 will be payable by the driver!

Remember to wear seat belts!

Petrol sale

Yes!

My father in law just told us that the petrol price is going down by RM0.10 per litre starting tomorrow. *lol* The petrol price will be RM1.90 per litre.

I only pumped RM10.00 to my car day before just to avoid missing this petrol sale! *clever me*

I'll feed my car with full tank of petrol tomorrow morning!

Not feeling well lately

I seldom update my blog lately. The cause of it? I'm not feeling well lately.

For 3 nights, I couldn't get a good sleep, waking up middle of the nights for around 5 times! And following with 3 more days of sleepy days! I could even fall asleep when I'm in a restaurant in the afternoon, waiting for my lunch.

I've just slept for 3 hours after my breakfast today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

It's another Sunday again.

I'm going to attend to the opening of the boutique on 11am. We're going there with hubby's cousin sister. She's going to get married in October 2009.

I'll suggest her to book the pre-wedding photo section earlier to avoid last minute rushing.

My Fm Prudential gaming

I'm really feel both embarrassing and disappointing when I pick up the call from My Fm. The one who called was Phoebe.

At first, I thought she's those insurance or credit card sale person, I told her I'm not free, asking her to declare where she's from. *slap head*

Then only she told my she's from My Fm.

I'm trembling at that moment, thinking that the price of RM2,000 will surely be mine since I've prepared the answer for the multiple of 2 to 9 with the range of 0 to 150. Guess what? She asked me to give the answer for the multiple of 3 for the range of 1000 to 1020!

Why the difference is that big? I'm sure, they used to ask for the answer ranged 0 to 150. How come?

Do you think I can sleep well tonight?

Welcome home, Nick!

Welcome back to Malaysia, Nick!

Nick's my friend during college time. We studied Computer Science in the same college. He's one of my best friend. Best friend's hard to find these day, I miss him so much when he went Australia to further his studies. Last time, we used to go karaoke together. I miss those days.

So during his holidays in Malaysia, we must go karaoke, okay? I have not been there since Nick went to Australia. Yeah!

Boutique at home?

After work today, I'm going to a home boutique with two of my colleagues. I wanted to go for a hair cut before I heard about this boutique this afternoon. I'm so curious about the clothes they are selling.

My colleagues told me that this boutique will be opening in a shop lot near Tesco. But before this, the person in charge, Joanne, who is also my colleague's friend, bought a lot of clothes from Korea and Hong Kong.

Since Joanne will only start opening her shop on this coming Sunday, we decided to check out the clothes. So three of us reached her house after work.

Wow, the clothes Joanne's selling are really unique. They are special, even a plain white shirt is nice. They are all imported and are from well-known designers.

I've reserved a dress with Joanne. I'll confirm buying it after I have a look at the newly arrived clothes this Sunday!

Backed from Hacken Lee concert

Oh, I only manage to snap one CLEAR photo of Hacken Lee since hubby and I were sitting far from the stage. My sister in law and her husband were there too as they got 2 free tickets from their friend. They are sitting at the VIP seats, just few rows away from the stage!

Anyway, I'm really happy to be able to attend the concert, though far away but it's still nice. The atmosphere of the concert were excellent! All the fans were singing along while Hacken was singing! So warm!

The show started on 8.15pm, ended on 11.30pm. I like the "anchor" part most, he sang 5 songs. The songs throughout the concert were nice, new and old songs from him. Hacken even played the piano for few minutes!

We then go straight down to KL for the night's stay. Following by a shopping day on Sunday.

Hacken Lee concert in Genting Highland

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm really delighted today! I'm very surprise with hubby's act today!

He bought two Hacken Lee concert tickets. He seldom do me any surprises. So this, I think is the first ever thing to surprise me. He isn't a romantic person but surely was a good husband.

Few months ago, I told hubby I wish I could go for Hacken Lee concert. But since I don't want to waste money on such show, I just forgot about it. I didn't even think of attending to the concert!

Tomorrow! I'll be in Genting Highland tomorrow! We will go KL on the following day to visit the International Chinese book excibition which I'm longing to go.

Thank God giving me such a wonderful husband.

Happy Birthday to Rosemary

Rosemary, what a good name? It's a special name given to my sister-in-law's daughter. We are celebrating her birthday at restaurant tonight. I think today isn't her real birthday. But anyway, I wish her Happy Birthday!

Hubby only told me that we are having this dinner in the evening, I cannot make it up buying the little girl any present for her one-year-old birthday. Hope she don't mind!

Seeing ghosts in office

I saw ghosts in my office! It's last week's happening.

I saw a male with blue shirt and a female in white dress. Both happened in different day, about the same time of 4pm. Both happened when I came out of the toilet!

Seems scary? The male one was sitting at the sofa, and the female one is "flying" in front of my supervisor's office! By that time, nobody's in the office, only me.

I think I need to bring some pamelo leaves with me next time - they said pamelo leaves keep ghost away!

Hot day

Today, we lost the electricity in our office again. The TNB sub-station in Tasek went something wrong again. It's a sunny day, supposing to be good but without electric, I don't think its good any more.

Almost 3 hours before the air-con, lights, and computers are able to be on once more. In these modern days as we all mentioned all the while, how come the electricity still cutting off suddenly without warning? Why no backing-up system? Then why is the electric bill going higher day by day?

Oh, our stay in KL is really memorable! We stayed in a 5-star hotel, next to 1 Utama Shopping Mall. Their interior was amazing! We took a lot of photos within the hotel.

Pimples on my face

Gosh, I found my face growing three pimples! For those who does notice, I seldom get pimples on my face. But when I woke up yesterday, there was two. And worse still, today adding in one more. Seems they are partying!

Oh, no! I feel blue all day long. How come I got so many pimples on my face? You know, they are not small little tiny one, they are ...... don't mention it!

What happened to me? Why?

I think it's because I got too much indeed, stress, from all those people around. Why? Why should I be pregnant as soon as I get married? Why everyone's asking the same question? Why? Why? Why?

Body-ache

What's wrong with me? I'm always suffering from backache and shoulder-ache. Gosh, I'm tired with it! I think it must be the result of long-time-sitting in office, though I always walk around (in office also)! May be I should cut-off all ice? I used to have a cup of coffee ice every morning! Without it, you might see me as a ghost dragging around in the morning! *LOL*

Luckily I have my wonderful hubby, he always help me massage. Oh, how could I live without you (massaging)! *LOL*

Welcome to your brain

These days I’m reading a book. It writes regarding some misunderstanding which our brain accidentally bring to us. It says that our very own brain always gives us message that could be misleading!

Most interesting part of it which I found is just a simple mathematics question, really simple. Let’s try it out before looking into the answer. The question is:

It costs a total sum of $1.10 to buy a pencil and a rubber. The fact is the pencil is $1.00 more expensive than the rubber. What is the price of a rubber?

Do remember that our brain may give us the wrong answer at the first thought. Think it over again. Think hard!

Do you think the answer is $0.10?

*LOL*

No!!! You are wrong!!!

The answer is $0.05. Get it? The rubber is selling at $0.05 per piece.

New Mercedes-Benz F700

Isn't it stunning? I got these pictures from email.

The new Mercedes-Benz F700 is designed to be a low-consumption, low-emissions luxury sedan. Mercedes claims the F700 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds.

I'm sure that this is all men's dream car, hubby wouldn't be excluded!

Recovering?

Since the few days of sickness, I'm always feeling tired. I wanted to sleep! I tend to sleep as early as 8pm for few days! But this don't make me any good. I still feel sleepy.

I haven't went any night markets for few weeks. Those who knows me well will know that I 'm those whom cannot stay long at home. Hubby and I used to go out by 8pm everyday, whether night markets or shopping centre. Since married (few months only), we changed! We shall enjoy staying at home with each of us facing a separate computer, online surfing and may be gaming.

Is this change better? May be staying at home makes me sleepy? May be I should go out?

Friday, October 10, 2008

Down with sickness!

Nowadays, human being are quite vulnerable, may be I'm too sensitive, but many of whom I know fall sick! I do think that is cause by the weather, some times it rain and some times become sunny.

Hubby and I were both down! Hubby is a bit worse than me, he's got himself fever. I woke up few times in the night to check him up, and also remind him to take medicine.

Hubby haven't come back from work. He told me he's okay today. After taking the cough syrup, he got drowsy. But I think he's all right by now. I'm waiting for him to come home!

Ipoh - Kuantan - Ipoh again!!!

Has been a long time since last update. Hubby and I were again fetching my auntie and cousin from Kuantan back to Ipoh and Ipoh back to Kuantan! Really tiring indeed, we are both exhausted!

What's the different this time? It's a bit of difference. We went up, again Genting highland to join my dad & mom in law and sister in law's family for a night's stay, after fetching my dearest relatives back to Kuantan. Since I booked the rooms under my name, hubby and I started out journey to the highland earlier, to checked in!

We didn't even stepped into the casino for this trip, I have "kind of" 6th sense which made me think that we wouldn't be able to gain any from the casino, so we decided not to gamble for this time! What do you think? Stupid? Haha.....

Anyway, hubby and I left at 3a.m. in the morning, back to Ipoh. Can't sleep well, yeah, both of us! We reached home by 5a.m. We continue our sleep for 2 hours before going to work!

Lunch with baby!

We had our lunch with cousin in law's daughter last weekend. She's really cute and chubby. Her mum went for hair wash, we brought her lunch. Scaring that she would cry for her mum, we carefully not to say anything about her mum and ordered "lou shi fun" for her. She enjoy it! See?

China's melamine-poisoned food

This is really a hot topic to talk about these days.

On Friday, Singapore’s AVA suspended the import of all milk and milk products from China and instructed retailers and importers to recall such products.

Three products were found to contain melamine - “White Rabbit Creamy Candy”, “Yili Brand Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt” and “Dutch Lady” strawberry-flavoured milk.

Please avoid buying these products.

What's Melamine???

Don't ever trust the security guards - story 2

Just heard about a rape case at a multinational company which just happened sometimes back last year. The victim is married with kids, she worked till 11.00 pm. Security guard raped her in the toilet. She managed to escape and drove herself to the hospital.

Next day, the other employees was shocked to see the condition of the toilet. Blood and her hair everywhere, and all the brooms and mops were broken. The police later came and arrested the security guard, who still reported for work the next day. However, they manage to cover it up, not even come up in the newspaper or any media.

Don't ever trust the security guards - story 1

There is a girl who was raped and murdered.

She went back to work on a public holiday with another girl, the boyfriend even packed lunch for them and later when the girls wanted to go home, the car couldn't start and the other girl's boyfriend who came to pick her up didn't wait because the girl told them to go off first and there was a security guard helping her. She didn't come home that night and they found her body in a burnt car abandoned in a rubber estate in Dengkil on the 3rd day.

The guard reported to work and acted normal during the police investigation but when the police questioned him again, he remembered the color of her clothes in detail and they noticed that the hair on his hands were seared although there was no burnt marks. He finally admitted that he is the one that killing her. There was no cover up but the case was not publish in the newspapers.

Girls beware!

Police have mounted an inter-state manhunt for a notorious gang which robbed a couple before raping their eight-year-old daughter in their Kepong home on Monday. They believe the same gang is also behind Tuesday's incident where a 31-year-old housewife was gang raped by five men in front of her husband at a house in Kelana Jaya after relieving them off RM30,000 in cash and valuables.

In the first incident on Monday, three knife-wielding men broke into house in Bukit Maluri, Kepong, at 2.30am and held up the family. The robbers, who entered from the back door, then threatened the couple and their three children before tying them and ransacking the house.

Several minutes later, two of the robbers took the couple's eldest daughter to a room and allegedly raped her. The gang then fled after 40 minutes with about RM5,000 in cash and valuables.

City police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Meor Chek Hussin Mahayuddin said police had also beefed-up patrols in the area. They are liaising with their counterparts in Negri Sembilan where the gang is believed to be also operating.

p/s. I suppose it serves as a warning to people working late, especially girls, don't work too late and be alone in shady places. Take care.

Shopping???

Poor me, can't even find any friend for shopping! I wanted to go shopping! I don't want to shop alone! Hubby's working now, no friends are around! All my friends are working outstation, not even one left in Ipoh. I'm the only one who married and stay in Ipoh. Friends, I miss you all! When are you all going to come back?

Mid-autumn festival

Where have all of you went during the mid-autumn festival? Hubby and I stay at home with the family. At about 8pm, hubby started going out with some lanterns, lighten them up and hang them at the gate. The children haven't ready to play, so hubby played by himself! I sat at the swing watching him.

Too boring playing alone....
He started to make the paper lantern on fire!

Hubby stopped playing after 15 minutes, the kids continue with it after that. We walk around the neighborhood, found out that there are only 2 house which kids are playing with candles and lantern. Oh, how come?

Full of tomato sauce!!!

Hubby and I went to Moven Peak (the old one) for dinner last Saturday. We ordered nasi lemak, shrimp fried rice and Thai style chicken chop.

After waiting for 15 minutes, the foods arriving our table gradually. I had some nasi lemak and turned to taste the chicken chop. What would you do before start cutting some chicken to eat? I'm sure all of us will pour some tomato sauce or chili sauce to the plate before it.

Well, just at the moment I open-up the tomato sauce cap, "POP". Oh my gosh! I'm fulled of tomato sauces, all over my body! Oh, my hands, chest, shirts, jeans and shoes! I can't imagine how embarrassing I am!

While everybody's curiously looking at me, one of the waiters handed me some tissues, hubby went to our car to fetch me some wet tissues. I wiped and wiped until all those sauces gone off. I'm really on fire! But I know I need to calm down, not to shout. So I kept quiet and ate.

Tell the truth, their services and food are not as expected. The chicken chop's too spicy and the fried rice's burned. I've black-listed this restaurant. I won't ever be backed!

Steamboat dinner

A glamour “pork free” steam boat restaurant has opened, locating itself among the mist of restaurants in Ipoh Garden East. With the whole shop surrounded by mirrors succeeded it in visually looking wide.
We went there last Sunday for dinner. Personally I think this place is good for dating, it's beautifully renovated with simple but nice furnishing. Most of all, it's quiet!

The foods are taken out for our selection in a trolley - reminding me to go for a “dim sum” breakfast! If compared with buffet kind of steamboat, there is not much selection in the trolley. But still it is enough, don’t be so demanding!

As conclusion, the foods and soup are okay, pricing also okay, no harm trying! May be you will like it!

Delicious shrimp

Our family went Moven Peak for buffet steamboat yesterday to celebrate "known anniversary". Hubby and I were known on 09.09.1999. This is the ninth year we known each other! I ate in about two dozens of shrimps! Shrimps are always my favorite, I love to cook my dishes with it. Life without shrimp will surely be miserable for me!

Ever heard about Great American Seafood cook off? It is a competition presented by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board featured top chefs from around the nation cooking with domestic, sustainable seafood from their home state.

The five finalists of the 2008 Great American Seafood Cook-Off were given a challenge to create a healthy and simple dish for the final round of competition. These dishes had to contain one of two mystery ingredients, either Southwest Airline Peanuts or select brews from Michelob Brewing Co, and the dish’s ingredients had to represent all five food groups and be a dish that even the most harried home chefs could prepare.

Among the five recipes listed, I would like to choose to cook Texas Gulf Shrimp, which was created by Chef Mark Holley from Texas. The shrimps are to put over hominy cakes with heirloom tomato relish drizzled with prickly pear gastrique. It definitely looks great with all kind of colors. It is rare but interesting to have shrimps and hominy cakes combined to create a dish. The ingredients are easily bought from anywhere. So why not we give it a try, cook now!

Do visit www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com and choose for your favorite recipe with the chance to win a trip to New Orleans prize package!
