The Nine Emperor Gods Festival (九皇爺) is a nine-day celebration observed primarily in Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
In Ipoh, Tow Boh Keong is one of the temple celebrating this festival and it is located opposite of our shop. When it comes to this time of the year, the street in front of our shop will be jammed with cars and peoples.
Hubby always tell me that when he was young and still staying upstairs, he used to look at the crowd every night and he loves the noise. Now the whole family had moved into a terrace house, we still visit the temple almost every night enjoying the crowd!
